5.1   Base

The base of compressor is concrete convex platform above ground level, user can design and concrete the base according to soil texture provided by manufacturer and take reference to soil texture in site. Water and sewage outlet in surrounding environment should be considered.

The base of the compressor should not take over the base of original building, it must be build separately and be isolated with the base of adjacent equipment by soil.

5.2  Installation

5.2.1

The compressor should be installed in the indoor environment that is dry, ventilative, non-dusting and non-corrosive.

5.2.2

No less than 1.5-meter wide operating channel should be reserved around the machine.

5.2.3

Hoisting equipment above the machine should be able to hoist the weight of compressor and be mobile.

5.2.4

After the diaphragm compressor has been installed on the basis, regulate and enable horizontal error be less than 5%, and make the base horizontal and no twisting when fix the compressor.

5.3  External connecting gas pipeline

Tubes that connect with gas inlet, gas outlet of compressor, discharge tube of safety valve and sewage drain tube should be designed, installed and fixed by user. For large type diaphragm compressor, gas inlet and gas outlet tubes of compressor can adopt the form of  metal hose to avoid vibration of tubes. If compressor is not equipped with gas inlet filter, user can consider whether to equip it or not. If gas source contains or possibly contains liquid, gas inlet buffer classified tank must be installed on gas inlet tube of compressor.

Compressor should be equipped with backflow tube; if compressor is not equipped with backflow tube, user can consider whether to equip it or not. Backflow tube is used when start and stop the machine to realize light load of start and stop so as to protect compressor effectively.

5.3.1 Tube requirements

A. All gas transmission tubes should be tested in pressure-tight test, and test pressure is 1.5 times of maximum allowable usable pressure.

B. Welding lines and connection parts of gas transmission tubes must be taken gas tightness inspection.

C. Gas outlet and unloading valve outlet should be connected with conduits to transmit gas to safety zone for recycling or emptying.

D. Dangling long tube should be added ancillary shoring, but it should not generate additional stress.

E. Tubes that connect to compressor should have measures to reduce vibration, eliminate thermal expansion and etc..

F. The inner wall of tube should not exist welding slag, rust and dirt, use dry compressed air to blow off these things completely before installation.

G. Release outlet should be set in gas inelt of compressor for load-off in case inlet pressure is higher than rated inlet pressure; gas outlet tube should set check valve to avoid gas flowing back, and set release valve and return tube so as to light load start compressor.

5.3.2 Tube fittings

During initial operating period of compressor, gas inlet should be installed with filter or screen cloth that is no less than 80 meshes to avoid mixing of dirt such as welding slag, dust and etc.

5.3.3 Water tube requirements

Transparent water monitor should be installed in the tube so as to monitor flowing situation of cooling water.

5.4 Instrument installation

Check whether the pressure meter is damaged or not before installation, and send it to relevant department for inspection if necessary.

In installing, assemble scutcheon names of instrument frames according to requirement of drawing; pressure meter should towards to operating panel of diaphragm compressor, after rotation, loosen locknut underneath the base of meter or add sealing gasket below pressure meter for regualtion if the direction conforms to requirements.
